Ark's BBQ

Ark's BBQ
52 East Lawn Road

Nazareth, PA 18064-1015
(610) 759-7527

This I must say is the Best BBQ place I have ever visited! From the delicately smoked ribs, to the moist and delish pulled pork sandwiches.   They are very reasonable priced. The staff is very friendly and accomidating.  Our first visit I had Squealers wich is a little pulled pork sandwich on their Hawian roll that comes from NY daily.  They have 6 diffenent sauces that you can put on their sandwiches and chicken but belive me it doesn't need it!  So go check them out!  You won't be disappointed!!

Garlic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Garlic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

10 fresh garlic cloves

water, boiling

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup light brown sugar

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

2 1/2 cups flour

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 1/4 cups chocolate chips

Directions

1 Drop garlic cloves into boiling water for about 5 minutes until tender; peel cloves and chop, then soak in maple syrup for 20 to 30 minutes.

2 While cloves are soaking, cream together the butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy.

3 Combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt, then add to cream mixture; stir the chocolate chips into the mixture (you can add a 1/2 cup of chopped nuts at this time, if you like).

4 Pour the garlic and syrup through a strainer, draining the syrup, and add the chopped cloves to cookie batter; stir well.

5 Drop the cookie batter by tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.

6 Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned (careful not to overcook!).

7 Remove from oven and cool on racks.

8 Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

REVIEW:
Surprisingly enough... These were ok.  You didn't really get any garlic flavor and most people I tried them on I didn't tell them they were garlic chocolate chip cookies.  When I did they didn't want anymore.  They weren't the best chocolate chip cookies in the world. A bit dry and too crumbly for my taste.  It also took alot of prep time.  Easier just making regular cookies. But if you want a little shock value that really doesn't do too much to the over all taste so you don't have to throw out a huge amount of cookies then try this recipe.  THANKS RECIPEZARR

Restraunt Review: Sal's Pizza

Sal's Pizza
487 East Moorestown Road
Wind Gap, PA

The atmosphere when you first set site upon Sal's in the Country Junction strip is sadly unappreciated. When you walk in it completely blows you away. The decor is rustic Italian with help of the Country Junction Faux grapes and columns but don't let that fool your tummy. The food is exceptionally good. Try one of their sandwiches with pizza dough bread. The Hamburgers are very juicy and try it with Mozzarella instead of Cheddar! Of course Sal is great with his pizza! So many types and toppings and cooked to your order. Very family oriented. Alcohol is served there and there menu is always expanding. The staff is very pleasant and eager to serve. Say Hi to Sal behind the wall as you walk in! Take out, Delivery, or eat in. The prices are great. Very inexpensive a family of 4 can eat a good dinner for less then 30.00. One of the must tries is there Greek salad. You will be needing a doggie bag.
